Graduate Catalog 2020-21 [ARCHIVED CATALOG] | | Advisors: Brooks Applegate, June Gothberg, Gary Miron, Jianping Shen, Jessaca Spybrook, Ya Zhang, Pat Reeves Room 3571 Sangren Hall This program offers the opportunity to earn a Graduate Certificate in Evaluation. The certificate is designed to provide an opportunity for graduate students and other professionals to gain a broad and in-depth knowledge of the theory and practice of evaluation. The Graduate Certificate in Evaluation will consist of five, three-credit courses (15 total credit hours). The certificate is being developed to prepare graduate students to understand and work on evaluation teams and with evaluation-related activities in the workplace. If students combine the training in this certificate program with more in-depth coursework on qualitative and quantitative research methods, they would also be in a position to lead evaluations. Certificate holders will be more competitive for academic and research positions both inside and outside academia. With the certificate as a hallmark of evaluation expertise, graduates will have the opportunity to distinguish themselves and highlight their evaluation expertise when applying for positions in their chosen fields for employment. Admission Requirements - Be a WMU graduate student in good standing

- EMR 6500 - Survey Research Credits: 3 hours
- EMR 6520 - Evaluation Practicum Credits: 3 hours
