We generally go to meet our grandparents or go on a trip with family and friends. This year, I went on a trip to the hill stations of Ooty along with my parents, grandparents and cousins. The most important thing about these vacations is the time spent with family during these vacations we make life-long memories.

We started the vacation by going to the native village of our grandparents, which is around 100 km away from the city in which we reside. My cousins and our extended family also joined us in our ancestral home. We then took a train to Ooty. 

The train ride was filled with laughter and songs, and I greatly enjoyed the ride. We got to see the beautiful landscapes of India on our way to the destination. We reached our Ooty in the evening. It is a small hill station with beautiful natural scenery and vegetation. 

I started the next day with an early morning walk with my grandparents and cousins. I then ate my breakfast after which the whole family traveled around the town. I learnt about the birds and trees of the hill stations. During nights I and my cousins would hear stories from my grandparents. I thoroughly enjoyed these stories. At the end of my trip, we went shopping to take some mementoes to my hometown. 

Despite the fact that my summer vacation was longer, the trip was by far the most memorable experience I had at that time. I am very grateful for the time I spent with my family. During the vacation, I not only learnt new things about the natural and cultural heritage of the place but also had a great time with my family. I like summer vacations and have the satisfaction of knowing that I have utilized my time productively.

• A list might be full of things like babysitting, attending a camp, working at a local store, taking a road trip, etc. This type of brainstorming can help you pick major events and other important moments from your summer.

• For example, maybe you spent your summer traveling around Japan. Think of a memorable moment you had while traveling — maybe you walked up a mountain in the pouring rain — and write about this moment, adding lots of details.

My Favourite Summer Vacation

As a kid, I have always been fascinated by wild animals and forests and the environment. There is something so exclusive about Mother nature, and forests are the most elusive place that has always caught my attention. Whether it is the jungle folklore or the woods’ silence and beauty, I have always found them enthralling to massive proportions. Therefore, this summer vacation, I chose to visit a wildlife reserve in India. India has over 441 animal sanctuaries, referred to as wildlife sanctuaries but while selecting, select a reserve that is well-connected with road and railway transport.

My favourite wildlife animal is the tiger and India comprises around 28 Tiger Reserves governed by Project Tiger which entirely focuses on the conservation of tiger, and I want to take a safari through the forest and click pictures of the tigers we encounter.

After completing our school holiday homework, we will go to the home town to meet our grandparents. We can go there by bus because it is quite a short way of 200 km. Later, we will go on a short tour of Pradarshani and nearby historical places of the village. We will eat lots of mangoes, bael, papaya, litchi, banana, cucumber, and kakadi, including other summer fruits and homemade ice cream, at my grandparent’s home.

There is also a lake where migratory birds come every year. We will enjoy seeing them in the early morning and evening. This summer vacation is full of huge fun for me, but I have to take care of my health too so that I cannot fall sick and join my school properly.

Save Mementos From Your Summer

Even if you’re not the sentimental type, make sure to document your summer travels. Take pictures, write diary entries, save train stubs. This is the best way to ensure that you’ll remember your summer well enough to look back and write about it later.

Write an Outline Before Writing Your Essay

Regardless of whether you spent your summer break in Madison, Wisconsin or Madrid, Spain, you should plan out what you’re going to write before diving in. Make a list of what you’ve done over the summer so that you can later narrow down a focus for the essay itself. Summer vacation is the happiest period of the year for me. I like it most because I get protected from the high heat harming sun rays all through the day in summer season. I really enjoy the whole summer vacation with my loving parents and brother. We generally plan to go to the hill stations every year to get protected from the unbearable heat of summer months. It gives me chance to enhance my skill and knowledge in the areas other than the studies.

I also join tuition classes to improve my weak subjects. I enjoy my summer vacations by visiting new places of my country. This year, we have planned to visit my home town’s aunty’s home at Uttar Pradesh for almost 10 days. Then we will go to visit Science City, Victoria Memorial Hall and Nicco Park in Kolkata. We also go to visit my native place where my sweet grandparents live. I like very much to spend some quality time with them and eat fresh vegetables and fruits they crop in their fields. I will click some memorable snaps with them and keep with me forever.

Summer vacation brings lots of happiness to me every year and gives me enough time to meet my all near and dear ones. I will return to my city back on 1 st of June. My parents have planned a tour for abroad also. We will rest for one week and then will go to the Singapore on 8 th of June for two week. We will be back on 22 nd of June and start doing holidays homework seriously.

Summer Vacation Essay 6 (400 words)

I just have happily completed my summer vacations this year. I was very happy and enjoyed a lot by forgetting all the pressure of school days. I forgot all the hectic schedule of the school and daily puzzle of the school and home. I was completely unsure about this year summer vacation plan. I have captured all the memorable moments into my smart phone to keep it with me forever. My sweet family members are also captured in the clicks. We did swimming, morning walk in the cool natural air, wander on the roads full of greenery, played football in the ground and so many joyful activities in between the tour whenever we got time. I have noticed and tried to learn something good from the people of all cultures and traditions of India. I have met people of various religions in this year’s summer vacation. I was excited to join cricket academy from my end however, when I heard the plan of my parents I shouted loudly and jumped many times and forgot about the cricket.

I am very happy because my inner soul is satisfied. I have done a lot of shopping too with my parents at various places of India during the tour. I think it was the best summer vacations of my life. Now, we are back to the home and started doing my project works. I have to help my sister and brother too in completing their holiday’s homework. Two weeks are left more in opening our school. After completing our school holiday homework, we will go to the home town to meet our grandparents. We can go there by bus because it is quite short way of 200 km. Later, we will go at short tour of Pradarshani and nearby historical places of the village. We will eat there lots of mangoes, bael, papaya, litchi, banana, cucumber, kakadi, including other summer fruits and home-made ice-cream at my grandparent’s home.

There is a lake also where migratory birds come every year. We will enjoy seeing them in the early morning and evening. This summer vacation is really full of huge fun to me but I have to take care of my health too so that I cannot fall sick and join my school properly.
