17 Must Have Bullet Journal Pages For School
Sharing is caring!
There are Bullet Journal page ideas for pretty much any area of your life, including for your school.
Navigating the school year is a challenge, especially in these uncertain times. You’re expected to juggle classes and assignments while finding ways to stay organized – all while dealing with the day-to-day stress of life.
One easy way to make sure things don’t get too overwhelming? A Bullet Journal!
This method of organizing not only helps you keep track of your daily tasks but can also keep your overall goals top-of-mind as well.
In this post, we’ll be talking through must-have Bullet Journal pages that are perfect for students looking to organize their school year!
Creating a school Bullet Journal can be really beneficial for both your studies and your general school life.
Whether you’re a school or college student, these study Bullet Journal pages will be beneficial.
Just remember not to overdo it. You might need some of them but probably not them all.
You might actually not need any of these, but it’s a great place to start and get inspired to create the pages you actually do need. Think of what you need help with and go from there.
I also wanted to leave you with something special, so scroll until the end for some freebies.
Oh, and if you’re a teacher, head straight to my post with Teacher Bullet Journal Page Ideas .
Finally, be sure to scroll until the end to get some more resources and free printable pages for school.
Bullet Journal Ideas For Students
We have 17 pages (with examples) that should help you organize your studies and school work and prepare for the new school year.
1. Packing List
Before we get into all the study pages, you probably will need a packing page, especially if you’re off to college.
You really don’t want to take too much to forget some of the things you might need later. So be sure to create a packing list and sleep safely, knowing all is in order.
Grey Packing List
I love this one; as you can see, it's a very simple spread to set up yo, and it can really be so very helpful.
2. Semester Log
Start your study journal from a semester log – a school take on a future log.
Add the months for your semester, pretty much like you would when creating a future log, and leave the space under each one to write all the deadlines, assignments, and so on.
Having a bird’s eye view of your semester will definitely help you stay organized and not miss any critical deadlines.
4 Month Semester Log
To make it all easier to understand visually, having a color-coding system can be pretty beneficial.
I’m also so impressed with how straight all the highlighter lines are; this spread looks so neat.
Semester Overview And Schedule
Another fun way to create a semester overview; I love that this one also has a class schedule right next to it.
3. Classes Schedule
Since you need to write down your class schedule anyways, why not do it in your Bullet Journal?
Besides, I’m a firm believer that writing things down, especially in a pretty way (yes I’m a girly girl sometimes, but you know it’s true!) makes it more pleasant to follow with the plan or schedule.
Pastel Timetable
I love everything about this spread; it’s such clear and well-structured.
I also love the colors; they look so calming.
Yearly School Timetable
I love that this one is stationery themed; I think it’s very suitable for a school schedule. Plus the color coding really add up to making i more easy to understand.
Class Schedule
Another fun way, and this time you don't need to add tons of lines and use a ruler, that is apparently my arch nemesys because I always do my best not to use one.
4. Courses Tracker
Especially when you’re in college, it’s essential to keep track of what courses you’re taking and what you have to take to graduate according to plan.
At least according to the USA education system the way I understand it.
Course Tracker
I also like the idea of using sticky notes for information that changes during the year, like your grades.
5. Study Tracker
As my study years taught me, the key to successful studying is being accountable and tracking your progress. Without that, you never know how far you’ve gone and if you are going fast enough.
There are many options for study trackers – you can track how many days you study or how many hours a day. Choose the best way for you!
I personally have a limited amount of hours to study (I’m not a student anymore, but I love to keep learning just for myself), so I only need to track that I remember to do it every day.
Monthly Study Tracker
This tracker would work perfectly for me!
And I love that scale effect for this tracker – on the theme, and looks really cool.
October Study Tracker
This tracker allows to basically make sure that you do some study every day in one of four different areas.
An extra bonus is to have space to see exactly what kind of studying you did that day.
6. Shopping List
You want to be sure you’re completely ready and have everything prepared for the new year. So be sure to create a list of all the supplies you need, all the books.
This will also help you to budget better.
Make it all business, or create a fun doodly one.
Doodly Shopping List
Here is a good example on how to create a shopping list with all the essentials and have fun doing it as well! Only I imagine you'd probably have more things on the list.
7. Before Classes
Speaking of preparing for the new semester of school – it could be very useful to list everything you have to do for that big moment.
Supplies, your study journal setup, any beauty procedures you need to do, plus all the important school things – course registrations, figure out where are the new classes going to be.
Things To Do Before Classes
This is a fun example of how you can make an interesting and functional list with just a few extra decoration ideas like that divider and washi tape.
8. Study Motivation
Sometimes studying can be very hard, and it becomes nearly impossible to push yourself to keep up. I know.
So, why not use your Bullet Journal to stay motivated?
Make a spread about why you study and what it will help you to achieve. Or (as I was doing in my student years), just think of all the great things you’ll be doing once the pressure is off and sweet, sweet vacation time begins!
Things That Motivate Me
Love this list, and it reminds me how important it is to have a happy place to study.
A clean and organized study space can really help you to get in the mood and study better.
When Exams Are Over
I love the idea of having lots of fun planned for after the exam times! This always keeps me motivated!
9. Study Notes
A good tip to make studying more fun and also help you to learn your lessons better is to create beautiful study notes! My first study notes were a mish-mash of ununderstandable scribbles, so in the end, it was kind of a wasted time, to be honest.
But as I continued making them, I also learned that if you spend extra time rewriting it all in an organized fashion – you’ll be able to remember it all better and have a great info sheet to return to when you need to review the materials.
Aesthetic Notes
These look amazing and I absolutely adore these little color accents and the use of a brush pen for the header.
Sketchnotes
One of my favorite ways to take notes is to use a technique called sketching. It's a wonderful visual way to represent information.
Click "read more" if you want to learn about this technique.
10. Study Planning
Planning is a key to success in pretty much everything.
Try to plan your studies as well. Allocate special days to studying certain subjects.
Weekly Study Plan
Having a plan is half of the success. And having a weekly more generic plan will be a good start to help you start planning things out.
Or you can even go further and create a detailed daily study schedule.
Simply think about which one of these would work best for you. Or better yet – try it both ways, this is always the best way to figure out your own style.
11. Assignments Calendar
An assignment calendar (like the one below) is a GREAT way to always know what assignments are due and when.
That way you have enough time to prepare in advance and not pull all-nighters the last few days before (yes yes student Masha I’m looking at you!).
It also helps you to always keep in mind the looming deadlines and change your study schedule accordingly.
Assignment Tracker
I’m loving the very free structure of this one.
Very beautiful and well-organized assignments tracker. And I’m so in love with the handwriting!
Homework Log
Another fun way to track your assignments is to create a Kanban board. I love this idea, and you can make good use of your sticky notes with this idea.
12. Attendance Tracker
I know when I started college, attendance became a bit of an issue. I didn’t track it, and with the sudden freedom I got, I must say I probably did miss more classes than I should’ve.
When I was in college, attendance didn’t really matter that much, but I know in other countries, you have to visit a certain amount of classes to be able to qualify for taking the exams and passing.
So before the freedom of adult life hits you, be sure you have a way to track your attendance so you don’t get in trouble later on.
Attendance And Study Tracker
It's actually a perfect combination of trackers, and I love that she added some color coding to it as well to make it more visual.
13. Exam Preparation
Exams sound sooo scary, don’t they? And that’s usually the main reason why we start studying so late.
Ok, well, I’m not talking about everyone, I guess I mean mostly myself haha.
But a good start is to make a prep spread like this.
Exam Study Tips
This will be your first step, and it’ll definitely help you to concentrate and follow through with the study.
One of the pieces of advice in this spread is to stock up on your favorite stationery. Legit!
14. Productivity Tracker
Staying productive during the school year is very important! And these days, there are just way too many distractions and productivity killers.
I recommend using a productivity tracker to stay on track and rock those study goals.
The Productivity Meter
This is a super fun spread, and as you can see, it works not just for study but for all different other types of tasks as well, like work or hobbies.
15. Exam Tracker
Of course, you must have a spread with your exam schedule. So let’s make a fun one!
I absolutely adore this idea, where you color one more number with each passed exam. It’s definitely an extra satisfaction to color them out, as well as a motivation to see you have fewer and fewer exams to worry about.
Exams Till Freedom
I like that the header here is “how many exams until freedom”. I think it’s kind of fun, and it’s always a good idea to add a bit more fun to the studying process.
I also like the old-school study vibe from drawing lines inside the numbers.
Exams Schedule
Can’t but love this spread, mainly because it has my favorite Zebra Mildliners, which are so very perfect for notetaking.
16. Expenses
As I remember my school years, finances were always a bit tight, and I had to be pretty picky about how I spent my money.
The best way to get the most out of your money and don’t overspend is, of course, by tracking your expenses and regulating them accordingly.
While doing so, you’ll be able to see interesting patterns in your spending and adjust them, so you save up more and not waste money on some completely unnecessary things.
Finances Spread
This is an example of my monthly finances tracker, but you can always customize it for your school's needs.
17. Study Loans Tracker
When you’re a college student paying off your student loans is definitely something that is always at the back of the month. And it’s never too early to start thinking about that.
Here is an awesome, simple, and functional page that can help you to get on with it right away.
Student Loan Payment Tracker
I love that this one doesn't just have space for tracking how you pay off your debt, but also added some options on how to do it.

Study Journal Supplies
Of course, you’ll need some supplies for your school-related pages, and I have many recommendations for you.
Here are some of the top supplies in the studygram community that I love using myself for all types of Bullet Journal pages:
- Sakura Pigma Micron – a good fineliners is a must-have for any type of Bullet Journal page.
- Muji pen – you’ll need a good pen for writing all the notes, and this pen has a very smooth ink flow.
- Tombow Fudenosuke – this small brush pen will help you add some creativity to your pages.
- Zebra Midlliners – there are top highlighters in the studygram community, and for a good reason. They are amazing and come in some beautiful colors.
- Grayscale Tombow Dual Brush Pens – if you’re more of a minimalist type of person, these markers are perfect for you!
