Good morning esteemed authorities and the people present here. My name is Jake and today I am going to present before you a speech on Global Warming. I hope I will be able to convey my views on the same.

Global warming is increasing at a fast rate and thus creating issues all around the globe. However, this is not the responsibility of a single country. All the countries are equally to blame for global warming. Global warming refers to the increase in the temperature of the Earth because of some of our daily activities. There are many reasons for global warming but the primary one is greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide, nitrous oxide, methane, etc. which trap the heat and light from our surroundings and sun.

This temperature rise ultimately affects the lives of human beings, plants, and animals. And we do have a huge share of contribution in them. A major volume of these gases is generated as a result of our daily activities which form an envelope around the Earth. This layer around the earth then absorbs the heat from the sun’s rays and gets trapped in the atmosphere. According to some statistics, by the year 2050, there would be about 4-5 degrees Celsius rise in the Earth’s temperature. It has already risen by 1 degree, which means that global warming is at its peak and that is an alarm for us to wake up.

The rising sea levels, melting of the glaciers, acid rain, the killing of algae, etc are just some of its effects that are taking a toll on life all around the globe. To reduce global warming, it requires a collaborative effort from all the countries. The Earth is calling out to us and we need to answer it to stop this ecological imbalance.

Good morning esteemed authorities, my name is Jake and today I am going to present before you a speech on Global Warming which is one of the most prominent issues in the present day. I hope that I will be able to convey my thoughts on the same.

There are great changes happening day by day, some of them are noticeable to us while some are not. One such major change is in the rise in Earth’s temperature i.e. global warming which is often neglected. However, saying that it is happening slowly would be wrong because, over the last few years, its pace has increased. A great deal of the natural disasters that we are facing today such as earthquakes, tsunamis, cyclones, storms, etc. are all because of global warming.

The length of seasons such as summer, winter, fall, etc is changing non-uniformly, and polar ice caps and glaciers are melting too. In some countries, snowfall amounts are decreasing, flowers bloom before time, birds are migrating to different regions, and hurricanes over the Atlantic are becoming more frequent. As a result of melting polar ice caps, the sea levels are rising continuously. And because of the stronger heat waves, human health is deteriorating too.

The effect of greenhouse gases is increasing because of human activities such as the burning of trees and fossil fuels, the use of refrigerators, microwaves, etc. Such activities release high volumes of CO2 and other greenhouse gases into the atmosphere causing global warming. This causes even more water to vaporise, which absorbs even more heat from the sun, making Earth’s temperature even warmer. This has also affected rainfall patterns, ecology balance, etc. Global warming is a powerful demon that is affecting our lives to a great extent. Hence, we need to act now and solve this problem on an urgent basis.

The steady rise in Earth’s temperature is also leading to draught in one region, and flood in the other. Due to drought, crop fields are not able to get adequate soil moisture absorption which leads to bad crop yielding. The worldwide demand for fruits, grains, and vegetables doesn’t become fulfilled because of this leading to food shortages all around the globe.

There is much more moisture that the warmer air holds in the atmosphere which eventually results in floods in many regions. Both, drought as well as flood, adversely affect crop production. Even in the marine ecosystem, the temperature of the oceans is rising which is leading to ecosystem imbalance there. Many marine organisms are unable to withstand this change and hence, perish. Even the microscopic ocean animals are of great importance as they primarily generate and release oxygen for us to breathe. Marine animals, as well as many coral reefs, are affected by global warming.

All this focuses on the need of the hour for us to wake up and take necessary actions to stop and prevent global warming. This won’t be possible by a single country but will take a collective effort by all the nations to make a change. Earth is calling out to us, and we need to listen and act.

Good Morning everyone, today I ( mention your name) will share my views on the alarming issue of Global Warming. The concern has only grown due to industrialization and man’s attempt at modernizing the style of living.

Let’s first understand what global warming is, it is basically the rise in global temperature due to the greenhouse gasses that are released into the atmosphere due to human activities or inventions. The greenhouse gasses consist of water vapor, carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide, ozone, and chlorofluorocarbons.

The human activities that contribute to the release of such gasses are due to burning fossil fuels to generate electricity which is also the leading cause of carbon pollution and coal industries contribute a great deal in releasing such harmful gasses. So when these glasses are released into the atmosphere, they tend to absorb the solar radiation that otherwise naturally bounces of the earth’s surface, and these pollutants that trap solar radiation suspends in the atmosphere for centuries and raises the global temperature this is called the greenhouse gas effect, causing to dry up oceans, polluting the air, ice loss at North and South Poles and melting of glaciers, and leads to climate changes like storms, heatwaves, wildfires, hurricanes, droughts, and floods these extreme conditions are only depleting the earth’s ability to inhabit life. And the threat will only increase in the coming years which will make it difficult for future generations to inherit a sustainable planet.

This disruption of habitats due to climate change is the consequence of Global Warming and if one wishes to curb this deadly cause that is threatening every habitat on Earth we should take steps together along with the government. We have to understand that all the global warming reasons are due to environmental pollution so the first steps have to be taken to control them and that will inevitably affect curbing global warming. The pollution has to be controlled by all fronts, mainly air pollution, so one can start using energy-efficient appliances and drive a fuel-efficient vehicle that will reduce the harmful release of gasses into the atmosphere to a tremendous extent. And whenever possible take a bicycle ride to work or for pleasure.

The government is also taking action by introducing electric cars. Since all the other causes are due to burning fossil fuels to provide electricity, we can do our bit by being responsible for the use of electricity in our day to day life, like buying bulbs that will use energy to do the same work, and we can also pull the plug when not in use. The other way is to power our houses with renewable energy and reduce our electricity consumption and bills. You can effectively start doing this today by spreading this message to near and dear ones and help reduce Global Warming and thus conserving our planet. Speak up and make a difference.

Short Speech on Global Warming

This cause has become a threat and has led to devastating consequences. Global Warming is caused due to greenhouses gasses like carbon dioxide, methane, chlorofluorocarbons, and nitrous oxide which is released into the atmosphere due to man-made activities like burning fossil fuels for electricity, gasses released from vehicles, be it train or plane, and industries especially coal which contributes to majority or carbon pollution that destroys the ozone layer in the atmosphere which allows absorption and passing of harmful solar radiation into earth’s atmosphere. This increases the average global temperature due to trapped gasses in the atmosphere that have existed for many centuries. This causes a rise in global temperature and disrupts all habitats. Global warming leads to serious climate change that has caused catastrophic effects like hurricanes, melting glaciers, drastic change in rainfall patterns, depletion of the ozone layer that puts so many beings at harm as they are constantly exposed to UV rays that causes many diseases, droughts, floods, heatwaves, storms. The ecosystem is disrupted and causing harm to the animal, agriculture, and humans. It is upon us to start acting responsibly for the conservation of the only planet that supports life, and one can do that by using renewable energy

In all possible ways of day to day activities and use biodegradable matter to lead a sustainable living.

Climate Change Essay - The globe is growing increasingly sensitive to climate change. It is currently a serious worldwide concern. The term "Climate Change" describes changes to the earth's climate. It explains the atmospheric changes that have occurred across time, spanning from decades to millions of years. Here are some sample essays on climate change.

The climatic conditions on Earth are changing due to climate change. Several internal and external variables, such as solar radiation, variations in the Earth's orbit, volcanic eruptions, plate tectonics, etc., are to blame for this.

There are strategies for climate change reduction. If not implemented, the weather might get worse, there might be water scarcity, there could be lower agricultural output, and it might affect people's ability to make a living. In order to breathe clean air and drink pure water, you must concentrate on limiting human activity. These are the simple measures that may be taken to safeguard the environment and its resources.

The climate of the Earth has changed significantly over time. While some of these changes were brought on by natural events like volcanic eruptions, floods, forest fires, etc., many of the changes were brought on by human activity. The burning of fossil fuels, domesticating livestock, and other human activities produce a significant quantity of greenhouse gases. This results in an increase of greenhouse effect and global warming which are the major causes for climate change.

Reasons of Climate Change

Some of the reasons of climate change are:

Deforestation

Excessive use of fossil fuels

Water and soil pollution

Plastic and other non biodegradable waste

Wildlife and nature extinction

Consequences of Climate Change

All kinds of life on earth will be affected by climate change if it continues to change at the same pace. The earth's temperature will increase, the monsoon patterns will shift, the sea level will rise, and there will be more frequent storms, volcano eruptions, and other natural calamities. The earth's biological and ecological equilibrium will be disturbed. Humans won't be able to access clean water or air to breathe when the environment becomes contaminated. The end of life on this earth is imminent. To reduce the issue of climate change, we need to bring social awareness along with strict measures to protect and preserve the natural environment.

A shift in the world's climatic pattern is referred to as climate change. Over the centuries, the climate pattern of our planet has undergone modifications. The amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere has significantly grown.

When Did Climate Change Begin

It is possible to see signs of climate change as early as the beginning of the industrial revolution. The pace at which the manufacturers produced things on a large scale required a significant amount of raw materials. Since the raw materials being transformed into finished products now have such huge potential for profit, these business models have spread quickly over the world. Hazardous substances and chemicals build up in the environment as a result of company emissions and waste disposal.

Although climate change is a natural occurrence, it is evident that human activity is turning into the primary cause of the current climate change situation. The major cause is the growing population. Natural resources are utilised more and more as a result of the population's fast growth placing a heavy burden on the available resources. Over time, as more and more products and services are created, pollution will eventually increase.

Causes of Climate Change

There are a number of factors that have contributed towards weather change in the past and continue to do so. Let us look at a few:

Solar Radiation |The climate of earth is determined by how quickly the sun's energy is absorbed and distributed throughout space. This energy is transmitted throughout the world by the winds, ocean currents etc which affects the climatic conditions of the world. Changes in solar intensity have an effect on the world's climate.

Deforestation | The atmosphere's carbon dioxide is stored by trees. As a result of their destruction, carbon dioxide builds up more quickly since there are no trees to absorb it. Additionally, trees release the carbon they stored when we burn them.

Agriculture | Many kinds of greenhouse gases are released into the atmosphere by growing crops and raising livestock. Animals, for instance, create methane, a greenhouse gas that is 30 times more potent than carbon dioxide. The nitrous oxide used in fertilisers is roughly 300 times more strong than carbon dioxide.

How to Prevent Climate Change

We need to look out for drastic steps to stop climate change since it is affecting the resources and life on our planet. We can stop climate change if the right solutions are put in place. Here are some strategies for reducing climate change:

Raising public awareness of climate change

Prohibiting tree-cutting and deforestation.

Ensure the surroundings are clean.

Refrain from using chemical fertilisers.

Water and other natural resource waste should be reduced.

Protect the animals and plants.

Purchase energy-efficient goods and equipment.

Increase the number of trees in the neighbourhood and its surroundings.

Follow the law and safeguard the environment's resources.

Reduce the amount of energy you use.

During the last few decades especially, climate change has grown to be of concern. Global concern has been raised over changes in the Earth's climatic pattern. The causes of climate change are numerous, as well as the effects of it and it is our responsibility as inhabitants of this planet to look after its well being and leave it in a better condition for future generations.
