گورنمنٹ کالج لاہور میں آپ کو بہترین اساتذہ سے مستفید ہونے کاموقع ملا جن میں سر فہرست پروفیسر آرنلڈ  کا نام آتا ہے۔ایم۔اے کرنے کے بعد آپ نے تدریس کے شعبے میں اپنی خدمات انجام دیں۔ آپ پہلے اورینٹل کالج اور بھر گورنمنٹ کالج لاہور میں پروفیسر رہے۔اس کے بعد اعلیٰ تعلیم حاصل کرنےکے لیے1905ء میں آپ انگلستان روانہ ہو گئے۔

انگلستان میں اقبال نےکیمبرج یونیورسٹی سے بارایٹ لا کی ڈگری حاصل کی۔ اس کے بعد جرمنی کی میونح یونیورسٹی سے پی۔ایچ۔ڈی کی ڈگری حاصل کی۔ بالآخر آپ 1908ء میں وطن واپس آگئے۔علامہ اقبالؒ کو اپنے استاد پروفیسر آرنلڈ سے بہت عقیدت تھی۔قیام انگلستان  کے دوران  اقبال نےپروفیسر آرنلڈ کے کہنے پر اپنی شاعری کے فن کو بھی جاری رکھا

اقبال کو شعر و شاعری سے بہت لگاو تھا۔آپ کی لکھی گئ نظمیں سیاسی جلسوں اور ادبی حلقوں میں بڑے شوق اور جذبے سے پڑھی جاتی تھیں۔

اقبال نے ایک شاعر کی حیثیت سے بے پناہ شہرت حاصل کی۔ خصوصا ان کا مکالمہ مابین خدا اور انسان”شکوہ“ اور ”جوابِ شکوہ“ بہت مشہور ہے۔ ان کی بہترین  کتابیں بانگ درا ، بال جبریل اور ضربِ کلیم ہیں۔ اقبال گہری مذہبی سوچ کے حامل اور بہترین مفکر تھے۔

انہوں نے بچوں کے لئے بھی کئ نظمیں لکھیں۔ان میں بچّےکی دُعا ،ایک پہاڑ اور گلہری اور پرندے کی فریاد شامل ہیں۔آپ نے 21 اپریل 1938ء کو وفات پائی۔اقبال کا مزار  لاہور میں واقع ہے۔

 سیکھنے کی وابستگی کا مطلب یہ بھی ہے کہ نئے خیالات اور نقطہ نظر کے لیے ذہن کو  کھلا  رکھنا جو فکری نشوونما کے لیے ضروری ہے۔

2:تعلیمی سالمیت

ایک طالب علم کے بنیادی فرائض میں سے ایک تعلیمی سالمیت کو برقرار رکھنا بھی  ہےتعلیمی سالمیت میں  علمی کام میں سرقہ، دھوکہ دہی اور کسی بھی قسم کی بے ایمانی سے گریز کرنا شامل ہے۔ تعلیمی سالمیت کو برقرار رکھنا نہ صرف تعلیم کی قدر کو برقرار رکھتا ہے بلکہ ذاتی کردار کی تعمیر بھی کرتا ہے۔

3:وقت کا استعمال

موثر ٹائم مینجمنٹ ایک ہنر ہے جسے طلباء کو تیار کرنا چاہیے۔ تعلیمی ذمہ داریوں کو زندگی کے دیگر پہلوؤں، جیسے غیر نصابی سرگرمیاں اور ذاتی وابستگیوں کے ساتھ متوازن کرنے کے لیے وقت کا مؤثر طریقے سے انتظام کرنے کی صلاحیت کی ضرورت ہوتی ہے۔ مناسب وقت کا انتظام  ہمیشہ طلباء کی تعلیمی کارکردگی کو نمایاں طور پر بہتر بنا تا ہے ۔طلباء  کا اولین فرض   ہے کہ وقت کی قدر کریں  خدا نے انھیں  جو رحمت  وقت کی صورت  میں عطا کی ہے اس کا مکمل فائدہ اور اسے صحیح طور پر استعمال کریں ،جو طلباء  وقت کی قدر نہیں کرتے  وہ ہمیشہ ناکام رہتے ہیں ۔ مثل مشہور ہے کہ’’گیا وقت پھرہاتھ نہیں آتا ‘‘اور ” اب پچھتاتے کیا ہو؛ جب چڑیاں چگ گئیں کھیت” یعنی وقت گزرنے کے بعد  پشیمان اور شرمندہ  ہونے سے کوئی فائدہ نہیں  ہے ۔

4:نصب العین

طلباء کو اپنی زندگی کے  نصب العین لیے واضح تعلیمی اہداف طے کرنے چاہئیں۔ یہ اہداف قلیل مدتی بھی  ہو سکتے ہیں جیسا کہ  ٹیسٹ میں ایک خاص گریڈ حاصل کرنے کے لیے کوشش  کرنا، یا طویل مدتی، جیسے ڈگری کا حصول ۔ اہداف کا تعین تعلیمی کامیابی کے لیے سمت اور تحریک فراہم کرتا ہے۔

5:رہنمائی کے لیے سرگرداں رہنا

طلباء کو چاہیے کہ  اپنے  اساتذہ  کا دل وجان سے احترام کریں، اساتذہ کے ادب و احترام کے بارے میں حضرت علیؓ کا قول ہے ’’جس نے مجھے ایک لفظ پڑھایا وہ میرااُستادہے‘‘ اساتذہ  ہی وہ ہستی ہیں جو  طلباء  کی اخلاقی اور روحانی تربیت کرکے انھیں  انسان بناتے ہیں  ۔

 اساتذہ کے احترام کا اندازہ آپ  سکندر اعظم  کے اس جواب  سے لگا سکتے ہیں ۔جب سکندر اعظم سے پوچھا گیا  کہ استاد زیادہ قابل احترام ہے کہ باپ؟ اس نے جواب دیا کہ:” باپ مجھے آسمان سے زمین پر لایا اور استاد نے مجھے فرش سے عرش تک پہنچایا”

6:دوستوں سے حسن سلوک:

طلباء کے  فرائض میں دوسرے ہم جماعتوں سے محبت اور شفقت سے پیش آنا بھی شامل ہے غریب اور نادار دوستوں  کی پڑھائی اور مالی مددکرے ۔

7:شائستگی اور رواداری:

طلباء  کو چاہئے کہ وہ بُری سوسائٹی سے بچیں ، مہذب اور شائستہ گفتگو کو اپنا شعار بنائیں  ، فضول خرچی  سے پرہیز کریں ۔

8:وطن  سے محبت:

طلباء کو اپنی ذات اور خاندان کے فرائض سے بڑھ کر وطن عزیز کی خدمت  کا فرض  مقدم رکھنا چاہیے ۔طلباء کو  چاہیے کہ  پڑھائی کے دوران سیاست میں حصہ نہ لیں ہمارے ملک کا مستقبل اسی وقت  اچھا ہو گا جب ہم طلباء  محنت کو شعار بنائیں  گے ۔ ہم  اللہ رب العزت سے دعا  کرتے ہیں کہ   ہمارے پیارےملک  ُ خداداد پاکستان  کو  دن دُگنی اور رات چوگنی ترقیاں  نصیب ہوں  ۔ (آمین)

• آپ کا نام کیا ہے؟ Aap ka naam kya hai? “What is your name?”

There are three popular ways to state your name in Urdu.

1. میرا نام ۔۔۔۔۔ ہے۔ Mera naam …..hai. “My name is ……”

2. مجھے ۔۔۔۔۔ کہتے ہیں۔ Mujhe …… kehty hain. “I am known as ……”

3. میں ۔۔۔۔۔ ہوں۔ Mein ….. hun. “I am …..”

In all three cases, fill the blank space with your first name. If you’re wondering how to introduce yourself in an interview in Urdu, or about any other informal occasion of introducing yourself in Urdu, the above examples are a good way to go about this.

The first one is the most popular and recommended answer. Also, keep in mind to introduce yourself with your first name because it’s normative in Pakistan to call someone by their first name.

• آپ کی عمر کتنی ہے؟ Aap ki umer kitni hai? “How old are you?”

Here’s the most recommended way to reply:

1. میں ۔۔۔۔۔ سال کا ہوں۔ Mein …… ka hun “I am …… years old.” [Male]

2. میں ۔۔۔۔۔ سال کی ہوں۔ Main …… ki hun “I am …… years old.” [Female]

You can fill in the blank space with the exact digit or number in Urdu of your age. Please, keep in mind that the first sentence is for the masculine gender, and the second for the feminine gender. The Urdu words کا ( ka ) and کی ( ki ) show the masculine or feminine possession of something, respectively.

3- Nationality

• آپ کون سے ملک سے ہیں؟ Aap kon say mulk say hain? “Which country are you from?”

1. میں جاپان سے ہوں۔ Mein Japan say hun. “I am from Japan.”

2. .میں جاپانی ہوں Mein Japani hun. “I am Japanese.”

Here, once again, we have two sentences to state our nationality; however, these sentences aren’t gender case sensitive. The basic difference between them is that if you want to use the name of your country in Urdu without any change, then you can opt for the first sentence.

However, if you want to state your nationality, go with the second sentence by mentioning your nationality in the blank space.

1- Occupation: Talking About Your Job in Urdu

To state your profession or occupation in Urdu helps you to open new vistas for discussion, while simultaneously accelerating the process of socialization. Below are some sentences you can use to state your profession in the Urdu language.

• آپ کا پیشہ کیا ہے؟ Aap ka peisha kya hai? “ What is your profession ?”

1. میں پیشے سے ۔۔۔۔۔ ہوں۔ Mein peishy say ….. hun “By profession, I am a ……”

2. میں ایک ۔۔۔۔۔ ہوں۔ Mein aik ….. hun “I am a ……”

In both cases, you need to write down your exact profession, without any change (e.g. doctor, engineer, lawyer, etc.). This will clearly indicate your profession to the questioner.

2- Marital Status

Now, if you’ve become intimate enough with someone, it may be time to share your personal details with him/her. Telling about your marital status is one such personal share. Here are some phrases you can use to talk about your marital status in Urdu:

• کیا آپ شادی شدہ ہیں؟ Kya aap shadi shuda hain? “ Are you married ?”

1. جی ہاں، میں شادی شدہ ہوں۔ Jee haan, mein shadi shuda hun “Yes, I am married.”

2. جی نہیں، میں شادی شدہ نہیں ہوں۔ Jee nahi, mein shadi shuda nahi hun. “No, I am not married.”

The first reply affirms that you’re married, while the second one negates.

3- Talking About Your Family in Urdu: Family Details

If you want to extend the conversation and share some more information about your family members in Urdu , this is the right moment. Ask about the other person’s children, or tell about your own, as follows.

• آپ کے کتنے بچے ہیں؟ Aap kay kitnay bachay hain? “How many children do you have?”
• میرے ۔۔۔۔۔ بچے ہیں۔ Mery ….. bachay hain. “I have ….. children.”

In the blank space, plug in the number of children you have.

Har Paishay k baaray mein aik jumlaa likha ho ga taa k issy aasani say samjh jaa sakay. Har Paishay ka naam English aur Urdu mein likh hua hai aur sath mein us ki tasweer hai.
